Great New Civic
The Honda Civic Type R, is the newest, fastest addition to the Honda Motor Company family. Its newly lightweight and stiff chassis can also be found in the Canadian made Acura CSX. The real Type R motor is rated at 240 hp at 8,000 rpm and 161 lb-ft torque at 7,000 rpm, not bad for a stock Honda motor. In Canada you can find this chassis with a 155 hp and 139 lb-ft torque base motor, or if you upgrade to the Type S, you will find a 197 hp motor with the same amount of torque. After many generations of innovations Honda has outdone itself again with this 8th generation vehicle.
This was the first time that Honda introduced a Japanese Domestic Made (JDM) car in a 4-door layout instead of the usual 3-door hatch. This bigger vehicle hugs the road much better than the previous Type R, the DC5. As the FD2 Civic offers a rear independent suspension which make it susceptible to harder turns and quicker acceleration.
This new model Civic is very reliable, as well as most Japanese made cars, and is also not bad on gas. The motor in this car is a K series motor, one of the best Honda motors that offers the widest range of aftermarket parts, as well as forced induction if you were looking to turbo or supercharge your car.

Nice car! Wonder what she runs at the track? Acura makes some cars with power now! Not just a slow noisy piece of junk
